All teachers in all local schools use the same material for RI lessons. This is an improved resource. The chosen one is Godspace which is a highly credited RI resource. This provides individual lesson notes, lesson plans and ways to explore and make meaning of scripture verses and stories.
- Every child receives a pupil book free of charge to the school.
- RI teachers meet together, plan sessions and lesson orders and provide feedback.
- There are four student books at four levels of understanding.
- They are: Explorers Year 1, Adventurers Years 2 & 3, Navigators Years 4 & 5 and Voyagers Year 6.
The Charters Towers Ministers Fraternal have approved the cooperative Religious Instruction Guidelines which is the over-riding guide to how RI is taken in this district. Hence, no teacher of RI represents a denomination but represents the Christian faith in its basic form.
